It`s bang in the Middle of the Holiday season, there`s a few on here that are on holiday at the moment, I go on holiday on Monday for 2 weeks, I know as a Taxi Driver that some of our regular customers are on holiday and trade is down because of this. So at least until the end of the School Holidays I would expect the Crowd to be down a bit

Rovers have, say, 9,000 stalwarts

ST sales say we have 5692 stalwarts.

A stalwart is a person who is loyal to their allegiance, it is not just someone who chooses to buy a season ticket - Season Ticket holders are not necessarily the only \"stalwarts\" around!

Yes. I understand that.

Where we are at the moment, we should be able to virtually fill the stadium. The season before last we averaged 11900 attendance.

I'm not of the view that the town isn't capable of supporting a Championship team, as I think there is a limit to what people will pay.

I had a conversation with a friend of mine last night. Not a stalwart by any means.

\"You're playing Leeds on a Friday ?\"
\"Yes\"
\"I think I'll come to that one, can you get me a ticket?\"
\"Yes\"
\"How much to sit near you?\"
\"£28\"
\"I'll watch it on telly !\"

And if you're a floating voter ... Friday night - on Sky - £28 will cover your beer money - it doesn't entice anyone but the stalwarts, I'll agree with you there.

Solid attendance today, especially when there was a race meet on. I don't think the board can be disappointed with that.

First home game last season was 10,070 if I remember correctly, with Preston I think it was bringing about 1800, so in reflection, there were more Donny fans in attendance than the first home game last season.

Well I have to eat humble pie, as I didn't think that many would turn out. It's a credit to those non ST holders who came out in reasonable numbers today given the races on etc.

Quite a number of folk are still on holiday, so well done those that came today. Make sure you come next home game v Hull.

Was a good turn out, I agree Baz. A good result at Cardiff should put extra on the gate.
