His dad is in forces based in germany. Bit of a strange one as you live in an english village in the middle of germany, done it myself. Can't blame him foer picking germany with rhe state of the two countries teams at this time. Scotland have a similar thing but the kid chose scotland kevin kerr I think his name is plays for bielefeld.

England all the way, I was in the Army myself and friends of mine had babies all around the world, when in the Army serving abroad they are still classed as being British.

I heard the interview of this lad on TalkSport a few weeks back, he has the upmost respect for Germany, they made him into the player he is, but it was so obvious that he wants to play for England.

This is a lad that during Englands 5-1 victory over Germany, he was there in Germany wearing an England shirt supporting England! This is also the same lad that was captaining Germany's under 21's against N Ireland and sang the English National Anthem before the game! His dad is a massive Everton fan and he supports them too.

The biggest shock that came from the interview was that he has never been approached from anyone in the FA regarding playing for England, he even said he was willing to talk to the England manager about his future.  After our pathetic effort in the last world cup we cannot afford to be letting players of this quality slip through the net, the FA will continue to do nothing and Germany will get another 'Non German' player in their squad to go with all the others they have.    :S
