Agree on the York away mate, a good old fashioned derby.

Them were the days. Bit of a sad end for Keith Walwyn. The bloke died on the operating table during a heart op, in his 40s.

Maybe the haze of ammonia in the Bootham Crescent away end bogs has addled my judgement, but I've always felt a fair bit of respect for York, as derby opposition and as a club generally. Micklegate a better night out than Dalton, as well.

another measure of how far we have come / how fortunate we are to have the KMS is we dont have to wade ankle deep in p**s at such dumps as York and yes Belle Vue (prior to the opening of those state of the art loos)

Me too. Loved the game at Tiverton a few years back.

I miss those cup days too, when the F.A. Cup still had that magic about it. Days like Whitby where we looked dead & buried at 0-2 with ten or so minutes left & levelled it to 2 all.

York were always a good rival.

That was a right side they had in the 4th div in 1991ish - Paul Barnes et al.
