\"Swansea held to a 1-1 draw at home by Doncaster but stay 3rd\".
Will we ever get any credit with the media? It's always the so called bigger club that gets the plaudits. Headlines like this give no reflection to the actual performance of DRFC were we not leading until the 92nd minute and wasn't it Swansea who came from behind to scrape a point?!!!!!!!!
My wife keeps telling me it will never change but it still annoys me.

The thing that sticks out in that headline is that Swansea were at home.

Swansea are in no way shape or form a bigger club than Rovers. About the same. Maybe its just because they are higher in the league at the minute.

Or maybe its because they have a bigger stadium? get bigger crowds? Have played at a higher lever? Have more history?

I'm not being funny but even if we won the premiership AND the Champions League in the same year they'd still put the headline as:

BARCELONA GIVE LITTLE ROVERS THE UNEXPECTED WIN

IF IT WASN'T FOR CHELSEA, TOTTENHAM, MAN U AND EVERYONE ELSE LOSING TO LITTLE DONNY THEN THEY WOULDNT OF WON THE LEAGUE!!

One thing that is easily forgotten is that Swansea's rise over the last 8 years is nearly as dramatic as ours. In the 2002-3 season, while we were winning the conference playoffs, Swansea were absolutely desperately fighting off relegation to the Conference and they very nearly replaced us. From being well adrift at the bottom at one stage and still being bottom after 39 matches they had to win their last game (at home to Hull) to stay up - and they had to come from behind in that match to do so.

There is a lot in common between the recent history of Doncaster and Swansea

Now can we become a city as well too please

We have the population, facilities and history to have been granted city status many years ago but for some reason we get overlooked.
Anybody know why when the likes of Stockport ( a suburb in Greater Mancunia ) nearly gained it in the last round of bidding ?

dont kid yer sens as the jacks are a bigger club than rovers.

1st...if rovers and swansea were ever to play in a crucial game at
wembley, there be close on 50,000 jacks present whilst donny would muster2
25,000 tops.

also swansea have been in div one, which helps somewhat

What's it like Oslo as I've always fancied a house in Norway.
If we got to a Prem. P/Off final, believe me there would be many more Donny fans than at the last Wemberlee final when we weren't given much of a hope against a big local rival (unless it was of course against Leeds again).
