hospitality
« on November 20, 2010, 09:04:27 pm by yapper1901 »
so today me and my bro exchanged our tickets and paid the £40 extra to upgrade to hospitality and must say i had a great time from the time we walked through the door to the moment we left they really made a effort to make it a great day
we went for the one course option and it said steak pie i thought it was gonna be just a pukka pie but how wrong was i it was a beautiful homemade steak pie it was gorgeous

i would definatly recommend it for them special ocassions and if you season ticket holder they minus the price of your ticket off the hospitality price

the only small let down for me was the stadium tour, now i have been on a few before (celtic, man utd, chelsea, arsnal) it wasnt the stadium tour it was the person who did it
it was the compare for the games who did it and he just made it so uncomfortable it felt like he was lecturing you while telling you about rovers and he was so intense, there was no history of rovers nothing really infact he spent about 5 minutes on the grass
a real let down

but it didnt spoil a great day and would definatly recommend but maybe skip the tour

Steak Pie, Mushy Peas and Wedges...........beautiful.

I think it was the point where he did his talk in the Rovers special room before kick off, that he lost it.

Although he did say North/South can be expanded, should that day come.

Yeah the special room thing was intense

I don't maybe it was just me but when he was near dug out I thought it would be good to go through rovers history but it was just rubbish I don't know it was like who cares about the grass
You normally find with tours the person doing knows all about the club and gives some great info

The thing is, other than you and I and probs a few others, I would guess many there weren't interested in the history of DRFC (and then factor in that we more than likely know it all anyway). The corporate majority there, would be more interested in the nice grass, the nice stadia, the facilities, the plushness etc etc....although several comparisons were made to OBV.

It's worth noting that Ryan has come out in the Free Press this week (and said it before) stating the focus is on the now and the future, as that is what is going to take us forward
