For all those that left early!

Did you say Bollox when you heard to cheer from the stadium?

The last time I felt this good after a last gasp goal Tristram Whitman broke the world record for running the length of Belle Vue!

Didn't hear the cheer, was well away by then! Left on 86 minutes before my toes fell off.

Lovely surprise when I got home though. Just glad it was a crap goal.

Loved the celebrations after the goal, you could see how much it meant to the players as though they were sending a message to SoD  :)

I never understand why people leave early. If we are 5-0 down I can understand it, but when the game is close and can still go either way, I don't get it.

I agree.  You go to the game to watch the match so why leave early?  There is always a possibility of missing some action just to beat the traffic.

Never left a match early, I can`t understand why people pay hard earned cash and then don`t get what they payed for? It`s like buying a pint and leaving the last gobful in the glass, never understood that one either!

Me neither and then they seem to get some strange sexual thrill from bragging about gettting away within 10 mins, beating the traffic and being home by x o'clock. :S

This traffic thing is a bit ridiculous aswell, I stayed to the end clapped em off etc as I always do and was back home 20 minutes later.  Park 5 minutes away and it's a doddle.

Darleys must have been better than the Wards crap that replaced it in Thorne

Even more disappointing when there is a possibility it could have been the managers last game in charge and a show of support after the final whistle would have sent out a good message.

I never understand why people say they never undertand something but then contradict themselves in the next sentence.  I can understand it sometimes though....................

I agree. It can't have looked good from the sidelines when that goal went in & all SO'D could see was empty seats. I can't ever remember a mass exedus in the Belle Vue days.

If you leave early & don't get behind the songs for the manager, you can't moan if he leaves.

Ah but on some of the days at BV there were less than 2000 there ...... if you ever stood pop side people regularly used to walk towards the town end gate before the final whistle.

I can only remember once leaving a game early .... March 11 2007 .... didn't miss a goal though.

I wondered how long it would take for someone to post that.. I originally wrote 'I never understand why people leave early when the game is on a knife edge'.
But I changed it.
Stop being petty. You know what I mean. Do some people come on this forum to find posts by people just to pull apart?

I think we've done it before on here, but it was the brew in every pub in Thorne back in the day when I was going out and there was no choices back then. It had a chronic taste of canal water and I could only stomach a few pints, hence I was never shy in leaving some in the bottom of the glass. Often I'd gip some back up in the pint glass and leave that too. When you were sick on Darleys it was always green and the sick was a watery porridge of hops, corn, barley and bits of grass and paper.

The Devils brew it most certainly was. Too true on Wards, but not as bad as Darleys. Darleys made Wards and Sam Smiths taste like nectar.

It makes sense, it just contradicts itself. I just want to keep my posts as short as possible. Some posts go on too long and get boring.
You know what I meant and so did everyone else, but you just wanted to score a few points.

I have never left a match early, whatever the score.

There were people on their way out on 75 minutes yesterday. It's a little pathetic, but each to their own I suppose. Those that did deserved to miss the goal though. We were pressing for the last 10 minutes or so and you could feel a goal in the works. How sweet it was to see the Boro lot instantly shut up and head for the exit! Great fans though, I have to admit.
