A striker in on loan pronto given that Fairhurst has gone out on loan, Hayter is injured for another week or so and it appears Brooker can't be named on the team sheet for 2 games in a week. Looking at the bench yesterday with no real attacking options we all knew too well that there would be nothing to come if we conceeded first.

I assumed Fairhurst going out was a way of making space for someone else coming in. I haven't a clue as to who but Premier League clubs have plenty of possible guys in their ranks, we just need someone to add some depth to the strike force as we're a bit depleted at present.

Maybe a youngster from one of the big clubs. I'd like to see Kev Phillips here but I know it'll not happen.

One things for sure, if Billy plays as a lone striker on Tuesday I can't see us scoring

Danny Ward from Bolton? We were linked with him in the summer, and I think his loan at Coventry has expired now, so might be available to drop down in to the Championship again to get some first team football.

Vokes might be a nice one to get in. Ward would obviously be a good shout too. We definitely need someone. Oh, and I was told Hayter's now only 2-3 weeks away, as it's not as bad as feared - anyone confirm?

We could bring in Messi, Rooney etc. but if we don't give them the ball or create them something they won't score. We have a striker that can score goals for fun, when he hasn't got the arse on that is.
