His name as John Nibloe (known by his family as Alistair) he was in the army based in West Germany & Rovers used to fly him over to play games.  He was the son of Sheffield Wednesday's Joe Nibloe a Scottish international.

John went on to play for Stockport County but was sadly killed in a car crash on his way home from Cheshire to Sheffield.

Matt Carmichael was in the army to, he was in the artillery before becoming a professional, being a gunner explains his shocking shooting while at the rovers! :-)
