I see Deadly Dave is doing his usual response on advertising hoardings apart form the 'It's too much trouble'.

That`s a bog standard reply to say we can`t be arsed1

How come other organisations don`t experience these difficulties?

If there are difficulties, work to overcome them! :headbang:

i've no idea, but i only say its believable due to an experience i had with donny council when i was working at halfords. we had a lot of customers complaining that it looked like we were closed since the adjacent garages had shut down, so we placed a simple banner up on the car park railings saying \"halfords open for business as usual\" or something along those lines. within 1 hour, yes, 1 hour, of that banner going up, we had an official from the council yard next door in the shop demanding that it be taken down otherwise we would be fined for, and i quote, \"defacing council furniture\".

don't get me wrong, i dare say that the club probably isn't making enough of an effort to overcome the difficulties as you say.

I understand what your saying superspy but the council actively look for companies to sponsor the roundabouts. Why not sponsor the racecourse one and have the next home game displayed on it? I know Dave's answer already and arsed would be in it.

There's a lot of interesting stuff on here and once again SO'D comes across as one of the most intelligent and thoughtful managers around.

Re Billy Sharp- I wonder how long he's been playing injured? If he is troubled by his groin it could help explain (if not totally excuse) why he's been like a bear with a sore head since mid-January. It would explain why perhaps he's not been at his dynamic best. Let's hope the injection works and he's able to play some part this weekend.

as i said, i dont believe for a second that the club are doing everything in their power :), all i was getting at is that our lovely council are hardly the most accommodating bunch. but as you've demonstrated there, there are options available.

a few weeks ago driving through town i spotted a poster up near the college advertising the next doncaster knights game....i never seem to spot anything like this from rovers, and it's not like its difficult stuff :(

Coming in on matchday from M18 there are at least 2 posters advertising Doncaster Knights. It can't be rocket science :headbang:
