Can't help but think this lad would do wonders at the club, everytime i've seen him play always has a great game, fantastic engine and knows where the onion bag is for a wide man/ midfielder. Based on Oldhams current plight maybe he will be looking for a new challenge, either way would be a fantastic signin altough where he could be played.....

We've been linked with him on and off since SOD arrived so i wouldn't be surprised if we were not keeping tabs on him. I always rated him when he played against us and he can play pretty much anywhere which is helpful.

He has shown his loyalty to them for long enough now.

Must admit, not sure how he is playing at the moment or even if he is still as promising as he used to be but surely an ideal replacement for Shiels?

Also, if the rumours about Paul Jewell watching Sharp are true and we were to get 2.5m for example, he is the type of player we should be looking to invest that money in (obviously hope its rubbish).

Taylor seems to have been around forever, yet he's only 24. I was going to say he hasn't pulled up any trees or else there might have been more interest from other clubs, but he was in the League 1 team of the year ago in 2009. Thats the sort of area we need to be looking at. Cherry picking the talent from the league below, it's what we did with Wellens etc.

If you look at Watford, they took Will Buckley (21) from Rochdale for very little and he's one of their better players.

As for Ryan Taylor, he seems to be improving as a player, he came and gave some awards to my girls u7's football team a couple of years ago and seemed a decent lad, so i thought i would see how he progressed in his career. Think he could move up a division but i don't think it will be with Rotherham as Ronnie will balls it for them again.

They were asking silly money but are Oldham not hitting financial troubles at the moment? I'm sure i read somewhere that they are? If so I reckon we could get him pretty cheapish.
