Why do i feel like i've sold my soul to the devil!

Just had a right job trying to explain to my sons mates how them shelling out £60 for a season ticket is them getting a discount of £20, but they think they’re being robbed cos I’ll be  getting £40 cash back, which \"yeah\" I will but i'll only be getting a £20 return cos I will be paying the £20 deficit.
Oh and before anyone accuses me of exploitation, I’m not actually making a profit cos my sons moving stands to be seated with his mates, so I’ve lost the family stand discount I would have received if he’d stayed put,  any further gain will then go to my son.
