General reaction from the \"freebies\"
« on April 23, 2011, 06:29:34 am by I-was-there1976 »
Was it

\"wow that was ace, far better than Sky Sports Saturday\"

or

\"its was ok but glad it was free. I wouldnt want to pay for that every other week \"

or

\"enjoyed the day, apart from all the singing\"

or

\"whens the next home game i cant wait\"

or

\"which colour were we again\"

From 5 freebies i know it was mainly a good 3 hours but cant see paying £20 for it too many times.

pity there weren't any goals but enjoyed the experience.
some people singing and someone banging a drum was a nuisance , though

While out working last night in my taxi, I picked up a regular customer who happens to be a Newcastle United fan, he went to the game yesterday as a freebie, he`s a Donny lad, his reaction to his mates was it was the worst game he`s ever been to and both Rovers and Palace deserve to go down. I gave him a right bollocking about moaning when on a freebie and had he forgot when Newcastle were relegated from the Prem, I seemed to remember they were pretty dogshite then, stopped him right in his tracks and his mates took the piss out of him for the rest of the journey!

Kin ell Filo. I see you're from the Donny Rovers school of customer communications.

I took a freebie with me and he really enjoyed it. He's been meaning to go for ages but had nobody to go with. He wants to go again and also suggested that he may get a season ticket next season!

This is exactly why JR did this.

One thing that did annoy me slightly. I've got a magic 8 ticket but when I reserved my ticket over the phone they said that it would be too complicated to do it as a magic 8 and just gave me a freebie. I hope JR realises that not all of those 8000 tickets were freebies and some of us had actually paid for them!
