Trouble after game
« on April 23, 2011, 07:45:59 am by Albert Trousers »
Did anyone see it kick off after the game yesterday, I saw it from a distance but don't know how/why it happened? Heard it was Palace fans starting it but plenty of Donny fans involved although my source isn't that reliable

Didn't see any trouble but enjoyed the banter between the fans in the Toad pre-match.

It was a bit of both sets of fans that started it but then it was a bunch of about 20-30 chavvy looking Rovers lads that was provoking their fans all the way up the road from the ground!! Hand bags at dawn though really!!

I park in the Toad car park and drove back towards the ground after the game. There was a group of lads blocking the road and there were plenty of verbals and \"come ons\" but no actual fighting. The police seemed to have it well in hand.

If it's the same I'm thinking of, they challenged my car to a fight after I got out of it on the way there..

If we're talking about events in the little snicket that leads to Childers Street, it was owt and nowt. Four or five shirtless goons from a group of about twenty rough looking donny lads I'd never seen before at a game, were giving a few verbals to a couple of Palace supporters. The police whipped their cameras out, and escorted them all the way back into town.

Mind you, it is Easter break at Oxford and Cambridge, so they might have finished their revision and wandered down to watch the game before a punt down the Don.
