If he is the bloke with the very short arm then I totally agree.

Close, he's from Peterborough!!

He reffed the Swansea home game this year. Seem to remember they were quite quick to fall over and he fell for it a lot.
Also reffed us on the road at SJP (he make it 10v11 and give us a pen!) and Oakwell last season.
Didn't think much of him when he took charge of our first game at the Majewski; more diving around by the opposition and lots of free kicks in dangerous places.

He's one of the new-age, geek-like looking referees that's obviously never played the game of football as he hasn't a clue between a foul and \"simulation\".

Not that he'll be reading this, but the idea Darren is to protect the team that tries to play football (the one in red and white hoops that you'll have never heard of!) and send off as many players in blue as possible!!

But you won't will you? you'll be too star struck by wanting Yakubu, Vassell etc to sign your programme & shirt after the match......

He'll not have far to go then in getting the whistle to his bloody mouth to stop there bully boy tactics. Let's hope it's long enough to reach into his arse pocket for his red card, if they start diving in the box and winning penalties (and changing the game like at their place).

Oh no.

Didn't Deadman ref our League Cup tie at Palace a few years back and award Andy \"diver\" Johnson (Lewis Guy possessed weeble-like stability by comparison) two penalties?

We've had him several times and every time I've been there he's been a nightmare.

Surrey Rover tends to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of these things..?

I'd need a memory the size of a 500GB hard drive to remember all the hopeless refs we've had Woking, the only one that sticks in my mind at Palace was Andy Hall in December 2008. He sent off Matt Mills and gave the home side everything that afternoon.

The one that will always stick in my mind though is Jim Parker, he used to wave red cards around as if they were going out of fashion. I remember him sending off Dave Roche very early in an FA Cup tie with Huddersfield Town around 1994 which Rovers then lost 4-1. Parker was never far from controversy wherever he officiated as was Mr Jarnail Singh another thorn in Rovers side who retired at the end of last season. Anyone missing him?
