Thanks for the link - seems to answer some of the discussion about the Sharp situation in another thread, too! Good to hear that Billy wants to stay and that Tommy chose us over other clubs. And good that joining us from Wednesday is now a step up!

Do we need to get the lad a nickname?

How about \"Gordon\"?

The official site is just appalling. A 7 year old could do better with the speed of the updates and the spelling and grammar.

And...someone (I'm led to believe) is actually getting paid to do it!! During the closed season the clubs website is the first port of call for fans wanting to have some Rovers in their life until it all kicks off again. No wonder there are shite numbers of season ticket sales. God only knows what the people who actually run the club day to day (ie NOT JR) do??? They are just a bunch of freeloading jokers.

However, the Spur signing was on the official twitter feed yesterday morning.....wasn't picked up on here though interestingly.

And the \"Big, MASSIVE, hold to your hats\" news that never was was obviously NOT the news that I have a bit of knowledge about....and is actually BIG news, god only knows when they'll be releasing that news if at all and if it pans out.

Lovely place suffolk. I urge you all to take a look at it some time. I know it's a wrench to leave the tesco lager stained sofa vaya....But I can promise you that places outside of Doncaster do exist....even though they can't obviously compete for sheer beauty with the Don Valley, or the hanging gardens of Stainforth.

SOD said he has signed yet a fee with his former club has not been agreed, he hopes it is sorted before it goes to a tribunal!

So it may be because of some sort of legality (or something like that) why it has not offically been confirmed on DROS, give them some slack as we clearly do not know all the facts.

I heard it will be on the official site and officially announced tomorrow.

Great Signing in my opinion, young, fast, skillful and bags of potential, one to watch out for and glad we have got him in,he was one of the best players in league 2 last season.

Could be saying this prematurely, but perhaps the new Copps? i.e. get him young, already good and can only get better

Now I have been (and remain) critical of the lack of information on DROS, but I think in this case their hands are tied. Because there is a fee involved the lad doesn't become a free agent till tomorrow. Then he can sign, and the clubs will either agree a fee or the case will go to a tribunal.

Players who have been told they are free agents can sign at any time, but those who are subject to offers or attract fees don't become free agents until after 30th June.

Maybe they should put something up on DROS at a minute after midnight?

The clubs hands are obviously tied in this situation, what can they do?
I'm sure when we can \"legally\" announce it we will. It would be foolish to do it before and get our wrists slapped and a fine for the sake of a couple of days.

So did i but if he did then surely we wouldn't be able to talk to him regarding a move or it would be clased as tapping him up?
