Ticket prices on DROS
« on June 30, 2011, 04:12:48 pm by deebee »
The Ticket prices for the first three home games are on DROS. All three are catagory 1 then on the panels below the prices say catagory A and catagory B ( which are both the same anyway) So why catagory 1? and also they are on sale to season ticket holders from the 4th July Why would a season ticket holder want to buy one.?

Good deal to be fair, the West Ham and Forest games are big games and there will be a rush for tickets for the West Ham game i would imagine so giving season ticket holders to opportunity to get hold of tickets for family members isn't bad, they obviously get first choice on seating areas etc.

Season ticket holders might one to buy one to bring a friend if a seat next to them is empty. This was introduced last season.

Cat 1 is the match category, Cat A and B are the seating category. As you said, adult prices are the same, but child seats etc are cheaper in cat B.

A lot of money to be shelled out in one month if you're not a season ticket holder.

We would expect West Ham to generate plenty of interest but I am concerned about the turnout for Forest game, being a Tuesday, and Bristol.

Last season's home game v Forest brought in 10,759 and that was in the first half of the season when we were playing well. v Bristol there were 9,291.

May be a bit early to guess the attendances but lets have a go.

West Ham    11,758
Forest       8,959
Bristol      7,643

i'm a tad more optimistic, if less specific.

You're right though, it is a lot of cashola for non season ticket holders, but to be fair to the board, they did say they would seldom use Cat 2 and 3 prices this season to reinforce the value of a season ticket.

And if I'm not wrong, haven't prices been reduced slightly too?

I'm pretty sure kids' tickets definitely have.

I thought STH  could 'scout' a friend for Tuesday games for a fiver. Is this true?

I think the Tuesday game you refer to is the Tranmere Carling Cup game. In which case yes you are correct.
