Kyle Bennett

Saw the lad at mansfield a few weeks back, and thought he started brightly and drifted out the game, which resulted in him coming infield to 'find' the ball. Last night, I thought he looked excellent, some great touches, very quick feet, unintimidated, and confident. Yes he gave the ball away a cpl of times, but as he devolops here to our style of play, i think we have unearthed a little gem. Yes it was tranmere in the league cup, but you can only beat whats in front of you. Look what happened to Derby and Hull.... Thought we played some good football again, and sometimes, due to our poccession football, and almost 'piss taking' at time, maybe leads to injuries as tackles then fly in?? Opposition dont keep the ball, we hold the ball for long periods and they get fraustrated....

Anyway, back to Bennett, well played young man. Hope you keep it up in the league, and give us the pace and width required. Cops and bennett destroying full backs is worth the admission alone!

I thought he was oustanding and as for giving the ball away we have plenty of older more experienced players that do that as well.

I'd rather he gave it away trying something exciting or attacking rather than just passing the ball back for the sake of it.  I was far more annoyed that for the second game on the trot our defence and keeper saw fit to dick about to such an extent that it almost game the opposition a scoring opportunity.

I don't think Awsworth's being negative in the slightest about KB.

I thought he was fantastic last night, their two full backs left the pitch looking like they were going to go and have a good cry in the changing rooms. Together with Copps who had a cracking game as usual Bennett gave them a torrid time. Hope he gets a run of games now to see if he can make the step up, i loved the way he received the ball with his head up all the time and was away like a whippet with the ball under instant control. Looked a real find lets hope he keeps up the good work.

What i've been impressed with him for is, yes he can lose the ball, as do many of our players, but given his size he's still not worried about tracking back and getting stuck into getting the ball back which he did on a number of occasions after he lost the ball last night. Looks like a real find and hopefully he'll only continue to improve.

Nice to read his dad suggested for him to come here, shows level headedness from them both wanting to progress as a player and not earn a quick buck
