scrapping Season Tickets for next season

flat rate for games £20

every person on that database thing (covering dust in the corner of the office) recieves his own card (£5 to cover costs) and he uses it for everything like matchday entrance, club shop, club bar,etc

Everytime he uses the card it gets swiped and he(sorry should use he/she) accumulates points/money

say £2 a game. 20p a beer. £5 a shirt etc etc. This could increase though if you get to every game, maybe £4 ???

at the end of the season the loyal fans get a nice cheque from the club. The more you ve used the card the more the cheque

all seats are the same price
all the shirts are the same price
everything to do with the club is the same for everyone but the more you spend the bigger the cheque at the end.

Now when the cheque arrives. The person has a choice. He can throw it in the bin or cash it.

i think it will cut out the  \"im a st holder give me a medal\" person

Fans might feel more of a team than us against the st's holders

Total crap, prob wont work, neh mind

ST's are important to the club though in terms of budgeting. I know the board put a fair bit of money in but getting a lot of cash into the club in summer is vital for planning, making signings and renewing contracts.

You're not Dave Morris are you? ;) I may be misquoting him but I understand that he favours \"pay on the day\" rather than having a number of STs.

However, without the guaranteed revenue from STs, the club wouldn't be able to plan for the season ahead. In addition, people would be even more inclined than now to pick and choose their games. And if the team was in a poor run of form (as currently) the attendances would drop very sharply indeed!

The whole issue of pricing needs looking at, both for STs and for matchday tickets. Personally I'd forego the discounts and some of the other ST \"perks\" for a lower price. But getting rid of STs altogether would be a bad move.

If I'm not guaranteed my seat place as I am with a ST, I won't bother coming.

With a flat rate across the board then the club could possibly introduce the scheme where you reserve your seat, so for a small fee your guaranteed your seat? didnt they do something similar at the good old Belle Vue?

Get there early enough to ensure you do get it  ;)
