According to Twitter, he is on the verge of joining Cardiff City on a season long loan.

Makes no sense.  Why would we loan out our current midfield lynchpin?  I mean if we were to get £750k for a 32 year old then that's good business, but loaning him only makes sense if either he's desperate to go or SOD's desperate to get rid...

Not up with these new fangled things like Twitter; but is this coming from his own personal twitter account Marmite?

Just checked it out and his response was 'really??'

Surprise or sarcasm, you decide. Can't see how a loan deal would be beneficial in us in any way unless he's asked to leave or SO'D wants rid.

It was tweeted by a seasoned Cardiff fan.

Odd player to make up a rumour about from a City fans perspective.

According to the original article they're fighting off competition from Bradford and Oldham

I think they have mistaken him for our 17 yr old Irish promising midfielder, Jon O'Ster, whom SOD is looking to farm out on loan to get some 1st team experience.

:aok:

I can only sigh with contempt that you've bothered to post \"Oster and out\" on the strength of one football fans tweet!

Good god, out of all the players at Rovers right this second, he's the one least likely to leave -

a) He's worthless in financial terms.
b) He's playing the best football he's played for years...for Rovers.
c) Even \"The Diamond\" isn't stupid enough to sell our best player at the moment for peanuts, when we haven't got anyone else, the cupboards are bare, everyone's injured, the sun is in the wrong direction, and he obviously likes Doncasters gay bars.

Leave twitter to the teenagers and the people who think other people are interested in what time they've had a shit, or listened to some crappy music.

Surely could have done better with that pun.

I'd have gone with \"Oster la vista baby\"

And if we want to go down the nonsense rumour road, it's come to my attention that Cisse is signing from Bristol City until the end of the season.

See, the internet is full of utter tosh. I'd recommend you investigate sources a little before posting a thread like this, or - infinately more popular amongst the Football manager players out there - pick a random player on the computer who's just skinned George Friend like a ferret up an aquaduct, look up his skill points or whatever and then post a \"Worth a punt\" thread like a lot of other people \"In the know\".

Thank you and goodnight.
