These Short term deals

I noticed some concerned with the short term nature of some of these deals.  Then had a think of others who may have done it and I did manage to think of a few.

David Beckham at AC MIlan
Jon Mccarthy and his one game contract with Rovers back in the conference
Akinfenwa with Rovers

There must be some more around there too, but I don't think it's quite as uncommon as we think is it?

ye but i just hope it aint a long term stratagy it is normaly used 4 injury prone players shame we dident get brooker and chris brown and the many others on shorter deals

I think these are all different kinds of deals though. Chimbonda is at Rovers on a three month contract. Fowler went back to Liverpool 'til the end of the season' and was there more than 6 months anyway. Akinfenwa the same kind of thing, only a bit less time. It's just that these players decided to move on at the end of said season or were cast aside. David Beckham doesn't really count, he went to AC Milan on loan like thousands of players do every season.

The reality is that these players might actually get us into a position where we can challenge from and decided they would like to stay longer to finish the job.

On the other hand, they might all turn out to be cack.

Football, its all in the mixer really isnt it?  Thats why we love it.
