Almost three years ago we lost at Hillsborough, and were seven points adrift of the fourth bottom team. Saying that we need a win or two soon so the gap does not grow any larger.

from wat i heard from the sky sports reporter it sounded like martis was a clown for the penalty. being mugged off by their right back..their right back for christs sake, if oppo defenders can make him look a clown wat hope is there for him... need solidifying at the back before we can think about trying to outscore anyone in this league

I think the difference was though AD that three years ago we were playing generally very well but just not getting the rub of the green. This season we have at best looked uncertain and at worst looked totally clueless.

Whether we go down or stay up, we need to play with more passion (as Saunders has said) but also some gameplan (which Saunders appears to have neglected).

Can anyone, anyone tell me what our style of play / strategy is these days? I literally have no idea what the aim is meant to be each game. Certainly whatever it is meant to be, it ends up being hopeful balls punted forward from defence over the heads of our strikers and either in to touch or to opposition feet.

We need a game plan. NOW.

Quite right CB. We were clueless, especially in the second half. The players didn't seem to know what to do with the ball on the rare occasions we had it. Other than to pass it back to Sully and for him to hoof it forward.

First half we were excellent on the whole, but the two goals were woeful.  Second half we lost all our shape which was to be expected with all the midfield missing.  We desperately need midfielders poor Gillett was on his own in the middle.

I thought 1-1 would've been a fair scoreline at HT, so to go in 2-1 down was a real sucker punch. We had the best of the opening 20 minutes, and although Boro's response merited their equaliser, I think 1-1 would've been fair, and their 2nd goal changed the game really.

Anyway, we might be 7 points adrift, but the news we've heard today puts things into perspective. It must have taken some guts for Billy to go out there after what he's gone through in the past few days.

From 7th to 21st there is just a 6 points gap meaning the rest of the division are picking up wins leaving us Coventry and Bristol as dead men already.
