What is a real rovers fan ?

In my opinion a real rovers fan is someone who wants rovers to win every week and has interest in rovers. They go to the games they can and may spend money on merchandise but more importantly the want rovers to win and put money in a number of ways and the ways they can through things like merchandise, tickets, rovers player, vsc.

But according to graingrover this isnt enough .....

Personally, for me the word \"real\" doesn't even come into it. I prefer to be more literal and say simply that a fan is somebody who likes something, and a supporter is somebody who supports something, financially/emotionally/physically or otherwise.

Sorry if that's too boring for the majority on here, haha.

Each fan does it differently.

I have a season ticket, a home shirt, travel to away games and get well behind the team.

My Dad for example spends nothing on Rovers but does work at the stadium on matchdays.  He doesn't support the club as passionately as I do but he does still support the club, get behind the lads and goes to the odd away game etc.

any one who looks out for the result is a supporter but fans go to matches when they can and wont be embarresed to say they support the rovers when everyone else supports liverpool or leeds.

According to Graingerover you're not a real fan if you aren't in the VSC  oh well i guess the thousands i plough into following the club each year mean nothing whereas some that spend £15 a year and attend 1-2 matches are the 'real fans'

This thread is a joke. Right now, we don't need to be squabbling over what is and what isn't a real fan. We should all be united in our wish that Rovers remain in the Championship and go on from strength to strength.
