Probably will be a quiet time at \"Molyneux\" given it isn't a real stadium!

Give me a \"sanitised game\" any day over the pop side bogs, the metal girders in belle vue main stand, the rat meat burgers, the pot holed car park, and walking down a dog poo strewn track to the turnstiles!

Like it or not, modern stadiums are much better.

Totally agree on the main issue though, which seems to have been glossed over - Footballers have become too greedy, and their stupid wage demands at the top have ruined football and priced it out of all sanity.

Love the clip on that link - forward to 2.15 when the silence stops. I wonder what would have happened if there'd been a goal in the forst 10 mins

All for the cause, but surely a better demonstration of what football would be like without the paying fans would be for the fans not to attend at all?

Its been twenty years since the Taylor report criticised the attitudes that the authorities had towards supporters and that the facilities offered were at such a poor level that a tragedy somewhere along the line was inevitable. They were very dark days for football, and long standing football supporters like me have all said that could have been any of us.

Twenty years later the facilities have improved out of all recognition, but the attitude of the authorities remains to such a point that the normal match going experience has gone. Squashed and obliterated, all in the name of civilising the sport and controlling what spectators do, when they do it and how they do it.

Spectators are the last to be considered when decisions are taken about the sport. Remember last season and the final day? The whole FL fixture list was brought forward by 27 hours, when kick off should have been at 3 on the Sunday it was moved to noon on the Saturday. The FL commented at the time that all relevant parties had been considered!! Err, except one group that is, the paying spectator who was told to put up with it.

I am not sure the Swedish league can campaign about rising prices. I paid around 60 kronor to watch a game (about a fiver at the time) and thought I paid 4 quid too much. Frickley/Gainsbrough would have been a better game

I do like the idea though although it does beg the question - Why protest about the prices AFTER you have paid to get into the ground?

Isn't the protest about exactly that though??

Sanitisation, forced to sit down and shut up etc etc?

If you want to protest at ticket prices, don't flaming buy one! Then you'd actually get the silence.
