I'm genuinely excited!!
« on December 02, 2011, 11:05:26 am by Scooter »
I thought i would post my positive view of the current situation. I have stayed away from the forum as lately it has lost it's entertainment factor for me.I won't elaborate on this as it has been done to death elsewhere.
Anyway, I am a quite happy to give Dean a fair chance,he is our manager and has the extremely difficult task of developing this team, keeping us in the championship and taking us forward. I think the McKay project is well worth a go. Some of these players coming in have loads of experience (ok not on relegation scraps particularly)and have shed loads of talent. In my view during the watford game it was the new guys who showed their potential. This can only help further develop our existing players who have not yet reached the dizzy heights of the premier league (or the senegal national team! )
I have been paying to watch the rovers for 20 years now and in that time we have seen some very good players but players like Diouf, Ikeme, Beye, Chimbonda et al are a class above. Now we are attracting players from premier league clubs (ok out of favour but who cares) and they have international experience.
Our first few years have been exciting but we never had a plan B and other teams have worked us out. If Saunders can create a team spirit and togetherness and if the fans can show positive support for the players,Dean, Willie and JR then i agree with what Goulon said on the OS and that the winning mentality will come.
Lets support the whole squad, the management team, each other and pray to lady luck for 3 points tomorrow before the big new year push for the playoffs!:chair:

I like the idea of bringing in class players  i think given time Saunders will deliver a quality team on the pitch that will get the right results for all , you talk about team spirit and togetherness , i can not see this , the results are what drives a team forward ,consistency and continuity of team selection, all these are missing add together with the new arrivals and his constant gripping the previous results that lead to SO'D being sacked .

As for Plan B what is this it , does not excised! only the ability of the players to adapt to differing circumstances . We are however seeing the shop window players drop like fly's  injured , so do we need a a further influx of so called talent who;s career's are going no where or do we  get the  manager to do what he is paid to do which is  motivate and except his own failings

You are in the minority if you think giving time to a man who was out of his depth when he took the job,  but i do  not blame him but those daft enough to offer him the job in the first place. I think we have enough players that are good enough at Donny to keep us up and they were here before Saunders arrived , He could start by refraining from name dropping when individual get things wrong on the pitch and start showing his gratitude in having inherited a very good team that has had its best players on the sick list. and be grateful for a chance to to make a name for himself as a manger and stop behaving like a newly elected prime minister who blames he previous incumbent. who comes over as an opportunist that thinks he can fool enough people enough of the time it will get you votes.
