We play well and look up for a local derby game. Why this was we have our opinions like the team not having as many mckay boys ect but i for one was delighted the likes of hayter and bennett played and showed a true determinaion to win that may have been lackinng. But whatever the reason i loved it and long may it continue

I'm not taking sides but playing Devils advocate .

You say we \"played well and looked up for a local derby\" ,because  we didn't play as many McKay's boy's .

well what went wrong with the televised Leeds debacle when we started with this line up.

Starting line-up

32   Chris Kirkland
5   Richard Naylor
2   James O'Connor
3   George Friend
31   Hérita Ilunga
16   John Oster
8   Brian Stock
26   James Coppinger
18   Simon Gillett
19   Jon Parkin
10   Billy Sharp

Not sure about kirkland being a McKay's boy ( Saunders loan signing yes )  but only Ilunga was a McKay's boy.

And this was the worse Home performance of the season so far.

Well nobody knew what they were  doing but mainly an unfit sharp was playing and parkin was playing making all our players hoof it. Oster wide left wasnt good as he isnt a winger especially on the left as his left foot is awful.

Donnybax gave you a perfectly good answer. New manager syndrome had worn off and Saunders had begun to 'influence' things in a negative way.

So has new manager syndrome come back now?? I'm confused. Surely the obvious answer is Saunders has worked wonders with the same players and transformed them from that dreadful performance to the wonderful performance we saw today.

Perfectly good answer where.. ...please show me      So to recap , Donnybax  lost the \"McKay's boy\" theory , so tried it's the \" Saunders , Billy's and Parkins fault\"  get out. :woot:

like i said  , he's back tracking.

I don't see how I'm back tracking as I didnt even say it was opinion in the first place I said it was the opinion of some. You then asked about the Leeds game from ages ago, so maybe your backtracking a bit there, and i told you why i thought we got beat

Quite clearly Saunders has had a great effect on home games, we don't concede many at home at all and look threatening going forward.

Big issue is the away form, I believe the structure is wrong away from home and it should be a 5 accross midfield away from home, we're too open otherwise.  When we went 4-5-1 at Watford for that 10 minutes before the red card we were much better than the first half's 4-4-2.

Maybe if we can get Plessis in the midfield instead of Gillett our away form might improve?

I wouldn't say Gillett I'd say Barnes.  Barnes has talent but he's not disciplined enough in that role away from home, you can't play with Barnes, Diouf and Coppinger away from home and Gillett out wide, it just doesn't work.  Gillett is alright when played in the middle.
