Like i said elsewhere....

my disabled ticket has gone up £30 a 14% increase and we might be playing at a lower level of football.

And if i dont pay by the deadline it goes up £70 a massive 30% increase on this season!!!!

Cheaper my arse.

Whilst i do see Yappers point and the one about young persons prices,i have to say that a thread that should be positive about the club doing everything it can to balance the needs of a supporters whilst trying to keep the club on a firm footing is once again turning into a pop at the club....

How many times do some of you need to hear JR state in the press how dissapointed he is with the continuos critism of him and the club before it starts to sink in that we need to get behind him and cut out the digs at his every little error..Ok your price isnt reduced but the discount you get is cheaper than most and is still a fantastic deal for you...And like what has been said when i was a lad at belle vue there were no discounts available at all..In fact as a young lad at school i had to work every Saturday morning milking cows at the ass end of dawn to even think of been able to watch what was normally a div 4 Rovers team...

I'm sure the free speach and happy clapper tag will no doubt come my way,but maybe we can have a bit of common sence and acceptance that this is a great jesture by JR and the club and get them bought to help gurantee that not only are we succesfull but that we have a club to support at all...!!!!!!
It says adult and consesions are reduced. Not every season ticket

Ok where do I sign. Oh I forgot I'm not brain washed like yourself

Look it's simple if jr wanted a positive thread so making stupid mistakes
Why say every season ticket is reduced when it's clearly not

If jr spent more time cleaning up these stupid errors and less time asking
Fans to get behind him and moaning when people criticise him

Jr if you are reading this just take the headline down save yourself the hassle

And im not brainwashed either but i can say one thing....

I can remember walking behind that coffin,100% convinced that i was just about to witness my last ever Doncaster Rovers match..Men,woman and children were crying a lot of whom are sadly no longer with us today to experience the success we have had....

Maybe if you had experienced those emotions you wouldnt be bleating about what is for you still a fantastically cheap ticket..

JR's season ticket costs him millions per year, there are people on here who happily buy a season ticket knowing full well that they can only attend a few games a year. They do it because they love the club and know the consequences of what will happen if they dont...

Yours cost you next to nothing...You've made your point now are you in or out..????

I am beyond f'ng tired of coming onto this forum. I come here so I have someone other than the people I sit with at the game to talk to about the club, but I don't get that here anymore. Nobody does. All it is is people taking shots at each other, bickering non-stop in every thread. Whether it is about the players, the board, the club on the whole, the matches, the other fans, opposition fans, and pretty much everything in between.

Yapper, Skellow and a couple of others have completely valid points about the advertisement of the season tickets. I have no problem with the price of mine, I was a Category C holder last season so my ticket hasn't gone up or down, it's stayed the same and I can live with that, but the club invites these grumbles with their crap marketing. In big block letters on the website the headline is \"SEASON TICKET PRICES REDUCED!\". They always do something like that, why can't they just make the headline \"Season Ticket Prices Announced\"? It is a recurring theme - the biggest of which is that ridiculous \"GAME ON!!!\" headline for the Reading game.

At the same time, nowhere on the article does it say \"ALL SEASON TICKETS REDUCED\". It does clearly state that Adult and Concession prices have been reduced which they have.

Can we not ever debate these points and come to a reasonable understanding between both sides? It seems not. Whether we're discussing season tickets, John Oster or whatever.

next to nothing how can you say this you dont know my circumstances
to be honest i am not sure your right in the head if you look at my orginal point
it mentioned nothing about the value of the ticket, the point was the fact it advertises all season tickets are reduced but thats not true

in future just have a read before twisting it in your head to what you would like it to say so you can go on your useuall rants

and just one last this jr season ticket does not cost him millions as he does not buy a season ticket he invests in the club, and on that investment he recieves interest on these loans and before you try and twist it again, i agree he is entitled to this interest

i hope this clears it up for you and you can now focus your silly abuse on someone else

How childish and pedantic is this?  I mean is there really only one John Ryan?  Do we always get shit refs?  (well maybe).  But you see my point it's all pretty daft and it's clearly more of taking a negative out of a positive.

Yes some have gone up a little bit, but then supermarkets often say they're the cheapest, but never in what context.  What's good is that we're cheaper than a lot of rivals, our prices are very similar to what they were in league 1 years ago if not better in some cases and when most are putting prices up, we've maintained some and decreased many.  That's a huge positive surely?

When prices like this were announced years ago it was seen as positive, what happened to the mindset of people for this suddenly to be expensive?  When you see Leeds away at £36 and West Ham at £32, is an average price of just under £15 per game in the south stand for an adult really poor value?  To me it's a chuffing bargain.

If you honestley believe JR's funding of this club will turn out to be an investment you are living with the fairies....

Actually in my first post i actually said you had a point but critisised your constant moaning about it,you then followed it with abuse and then get all defensive when you get it back...We can debate this all day long if you want it makes no odds to me son....I know im not going to get anywhere as you do nothing but moan about the club no matter what subject you talk about.............

You've been going on about the headline the whole way through this, which just says season tickets reduced.
Your living in cloud cuckoo land if you think Ryan is going to make money when he leaves.

Do they mean they're all reduced from what you'd pay now for a 2011-12 season ticket (if you were mad enough to) or rather what the standard prices were, without any of the incentives?

You said ryan has made an investment. Yor probably not aware what this means. So here you go.

Finance investment is putting money into something with the expectation of gain, that upon thorough analysis, has a high degree of security for the principal amount, as well as security of return, within an expected period of time.

So I have read clearly what you said and my original point still stands.

i think it depends what disctionairy you use

2.A thing that is worth buying because it may be profitable or useful in the future.

but it wasnt what i meant by the word investment anyway, i dont think jr every invested in rovers because he expected to get a huge return at the end of it, but i also dont think that jr has just handed over bucket loads of cash to rovers, for one he has loaned money to rovers on the basis he gets interest back and two he has shares in rovers and if he ever did leave the club and someone else came in he would have to be compensated for them shares

and before you start bashing away at your keyboard i am not saying that is a bad thing

By looks of that statement I think I chose the right one.

A concession IS a disabled person a young adult student.  On
The website it says adult and concession tickets reduced. Regardless of the price this is false information. I will pay the little increase. But why state something that isn't true?!
Can nobody see the problem? I am not having ago about the PRICE of the season ticket but merely saying that what they have written is misleading.
Drfc are lowering adults tickets (the majority) and upping disabled, students, young people. To balance the books.
All in all. Unfair.
But I WILL pay for a renewal. Just sort the misleading information out!

I'm really not wading into this back and forth you two are having, I just found it amusing that you're trying to win by correct use of dictionary whilst spelling the word wrong and then saying \"will of\" instead of \"will have\". Irony :P

Actually people from Yorkshire saying \"of\" when they mean \"have\" has been a bugbear of mine for years.

Note: That said you are right about the use of the word investment in this whole thing.

Tell you what...if everyone is getting so pedantic, maybe John Ryan should get rid of concessions for Disabled, Senior citizen, children - the lot (and Im speaking as someone with two kids).

Make 'em all pay the same regardless...no discrimination, after all we all get to watch the same game, we all take up a seat. If I was JR Id be thinking 'Why do I bother'.

Its a great deal at standard price, nevermind the vastly reduced rates Juniors, students and disabled individuals are paying in comparison..so frankly, like the vast majority of fans, I couldnt give a flying one over the wording of a bloody advert.

My apologies, the coding of the quotes messed up and I misread yapper's misspelling of dictionary as yours.

And I like my Yorkshire accent too don't get me wrong, but if I wrote as I spoke then I would look somewhat illiterate!

Those pedants amongs us will be gnashing their teeth this morning if their Season Ticket renewal letter comes through the door. The title:

SEASON TICKETS - ALL PRICES REDUCED
[/u][/b]

Nevertheless it is a heartfelt letter from John. How can I turn my back on the Club when he shows such passion? Simple answer is I cant.

In fact, if there is a way, Id like to waive my £20.00 loyalty bonus....its better off in the Clubs pocket than mine...Like I say, if there is a way.

Got my renewel letters in the post this morning and all i will say again is....
Another 1st class f*ck up by the club when Disabled, OAP & young persons ST's have in fact increased. Mine is £30 dearer next season and If i don't pay for my disabled ticket by the early bird date theres a £70 increase ffs!!!! thats a massive 30% increase on this seasons price. On top of this if i go with zebra finance to make the early bird date then with the interest its a £75 increase which is even more expensive!!!!

It's nothing to do about 'value' or 'JR's passion' it's about the incompetence of whoever put all this together and then declaring everywhere that ST's are cheaper when infact for a lot they are more expensive.

And for those saying \"there should be no concessions etc blah blah\" tell that to the disabled and oap supporters that would love to work and have a better income but through no fault of their own are incapable and have to live on low benefits!!

Cheaper my arse!!
