KM Sale....
« on April 26, 2012, 05:49:59 pm by vietaff »
Not sure if its been mentioned however i was informed earlier by a pretty good source that the KM IS being bought by the Club.
i was also informed that this was the reason the 'other directors' left due to DMBC playing silly feckers about the price but that has now been sorted...If the price advised is correct its the bargain of the century trust me.

Also expect news about existing players pretty soon

I`m not sure he was supposed to say anything, it sort of came out mid sentence, no fee mentioned

With "Got",does he mean with have bought it? or we have got it to run on a long lease.I have always hoped we could buy it,but the hints recently was that we would only get to run it ourselfs on a long lease.

Here we go again....

the club is not buying the stadium! A lease deal is on the point of being agreed though. So to start a post with KM sale in the title is misleading.

Doesn't help when Saunders can't keep his mouth shut, just gives mixed messages to everyone.

It does n`t help when you get a teaser at 8-11am and then no further news, people start to speculate when the promised news does n`t materialise!

What makes you think he wasn't allowed to say anything?

Filo is right really. It was ill judgement of Rob to post an 8am teaser without being able to guarantee the arrival of the news at a reasonable time later in the day. You know from the start that what you're going to get is a whole lot of speculation from the masses and not much else. It isn't like we haven't been through this before on here.

I'm not surprised, no. Still I'm disappointed that this situation has come up again!

Well seeing as I sat in all the council meetings on this very subject raised umpteen questions too ensure the stadium had long security for the DRFC supporters then I should know its going to be a lease. If it turns into a sale, which I doubt very much, then this council will be hung drawn and quartered.

Martin is correct.

As someone who has a vested interest in the outcome i'm grateful to him for keeping me up to speed on this issue.

A sale has never been a starter really, I knew last Spetmeber the lease deal was going to be the nailed on result...I even sort of told you all on here  :woohoo:

I'm sure Saunders says he's "got the keys to the stadium".
Having been trusted with the keys to Cantley Park & done such a good job, not losing them once, he's got a deserved promotion.....

I realise he may be misquoted but if he said that it just proves how delusional he is. He's the manager, not the chairman (or even the CEO). His job is to put teams on the field- nothing to do with the stadium. Perhaps he should concentrate on the job he's been hired to do, in which I have to say his performance has left something to be desired.

He didn't say that he said we've got the the stadium.  Geez give the guy a break, his interview was pretty good he talks some sense and says it as it is that he's some big decisions to make and a huge task this summer rebuilding a squad.  He talks about the benefits of having the stadium to generate revenue etc and that getting it right can be a huge boost off the field.

He didn't do anything out of the ordinary, or anything that other managers don't do. Managers are regularly  asked about non-playing matters - they are generally seen as the spokesperson of the club in interviews. The media would be very quick to criticise a manager if they said "no comment" to every non-playing related question or topic.

There are many supporters on here who criticise the club for not being more open. When the club tries to do that, some people criticise for saying too much. It's a lose-lose situation. Let's face it... there's no-one else giving out information at the club at the moment, so Saunders is doing us a favour.
