To be honest they are all donny teams so why cant they have a common goal.

Share costs and put the money in to development in both sports.  MAkes sense doesnt it?

Certainly does Coventryrover.  That's how it works at Huddersfield and Wigan and I also think there is some working together at Hull with Hull FC.  I appreciate that these three Rugby teams are all in  Super League, but that's what the Dons must aim for.  The better a towns teams do the better is for the town/city as a whole.

For all Rovers supporters, ther is a very good post from the management of the Dons in relation to this thread.  In it they state that the present ownership of the Dons will stay the same but they will listen to offers made by the Rovers in terms of working together and bringing down running costs.

They also pour scorn on the idea that their supporters are bringing up about them playing in red and white hoops as an away kit. They state that they have had THREE different coloured away strips in the last three years so why why should red and white hoops be a problem if the owners decide to do that.

It is very enlightening to see how the owners at the Dons are not anti the idea.

You can find the piece on DoncsterRLFC.com

There is a forum, but this was a released statement from Carl Hall one of the owners and a former player. They seem to be happy to reduce their costs if that is possible from a tie up with the Rovers.
