Old Belle Vue day?
« on July 12, 2012, 08:49:09 pm by karldew »
Would there be a chance of turning one of our home games this season into a belle vue style game? Maybe against Carlisle or Yeovil.

-Scaffolding in the centre of one of the stands (pop side)
-Bovrils, Burgers....Belle Vue snack bar food
-Old shirts, scarfs (If you have one)
-Each Stand being named one from belle vue eg. West Stand = Pop side...
-Old players/managers showing there faces?

Dont know the chance of this happening but it might bring some old fans back? If the seats are unreserved and people go around the area where they would have stood at belle vue...maybe belle vue prices

Just an idea what popped into my head earlier, that is all.

Doncaster Rovers v Yeovil Town, 16 September 2003
Score   1-0 to Yeovil Town
Referee   Kevin Wright
Competition   League Division 3
Venue   Belle Vue
Attendance   4,716

Think pretty much all the same fans from Belle Vue are coming to the KM plus a few thousand more....we are still growing. We are at a little bit of a valley right now bu the peaks have been very high and plenty in recent years.

.         Im sorting out Brighty coming to a game next year, a bit like when Franny was at a game. Ive spoken with RTR who said he would arrange Brights to go on the pitch at HT so the Rovers faithful could show their appreciation, so if you let me know which game you think it will be then i can let him know.
