To be honest I think it got a bit too much for him last season, now he has a much better team in place I'm sure he intends to let them get on with it. As he should.

Are the vsc still in contact with him. We used to have a message from Gartom on how things was going. We don't get that anymore.

Maybe he doesn't want to make himself look as stupid as he did throughout the whole of last season with his sometimes stupid comments.

When we had the Forum for the future he had plenty to say. You could see his frustration though with the odd numpty that still wanted to moan about the past. This was even after he had admitted that mistakes had been made and learned from. You cannot blame him for keeping a lower profile because if you do not stick your head above the parapet no one can knock it off.

My understanding is (although I haven't been told this, it is just my personal assumption) that John Ryan will be more of a backroom figure this season, Gavin Baldwin has a business plan that he needs to implement and I think as fans will be hearing more from him than John Ryan.

As for the VSC contact with JR we have asked him to come to the AGM, however during the off-season where there is really little to report the VSC has been keeping contact with different officials of DRFC from the marketing, commercial and Baldwin himself. That should be explanatory from the In Rovers We Trust project which is unique to any football club in this country. The level of fan engagement we as doing (as a fan project and not just the VSC) has been recognised across the country and we have been praised at events such as the Fans Weekend between SD and FSF.

I would have thought that John's silence is speaking monstrous great volumes to be honest.

No doubt this'll be followed up with some cryptic remark, but maybe it's because Dean and Gavin have said all there is to be said?.. Saunders is in the media almost constantly and Baldwin has kept us updated on behind the scenes stuff too.

Absolute rubbish Bob! He's doing what he said he would do this summer and take a long break. But you're that close to the club you would know that wouldn't you?

Nope. No idea SM!  But when someone acts untypically then there's usually a reason.

Why are we making 4 signings this week bob? How come the signings we've made have been very good? I thought everything was going to go tits up? Thought we were absolutely skint without a pot to piss in? We weren't going to sign anybody and would be playing in league 2 next year?
The km2 weren't going to give us any cash, they just wanted to start reclaiming it?

Don't need to try and convince me vicar,, these are all the predictions made by others on here. Which are now being proven to be nonsense
