With all the speculation of players leaving, I pray (even tho I'm not religious) that Copps isn't one of them!

Ino he's on good money but he has been Doncaster Rovers for the last 9 years and is our best player, he doesn't want to leave so please keep him, he will rip League One up!

Hopefully as he has been appointed captain that may mean he is staying
He will be due a testimonial in 2014 so theres an incentive

Who say`s he`s been appointed captain, he`s not captained any pre season game so far

Copps is torn on what to do! He wants to be at the club, he loves playing for donny and he wants to finish his career here before moving down under!! However, he doesn't get on with the way saunders runs things! Thinks he's clueless! I fear he will be gone come the start of the season

Testimonial not in 2013?

He joined in the summer of 2004 after we had won the League Two title. JJ Melligan played on right wing for second half of that title winning season. He went back to Cheltenham and we bought/stole Copps that summer. Franny was still also playing the odd game when not injured before Copps arrived.

on that note Filo.. who has captained us? Stock hasn't started most of the games and I don't recall it being Friend

Thinks Saunders is clueless? It didin't appear like that tonight Copps seemed to be often putting his thumb to Saunders when he was being asked to do different things unlike Stock who appeared to be waving his instructions away.

Spurr in the last three games, I think Bennett was captain in an early pre season game, not sure about the others, but Copps definatly has n`t

MushRTID - I can honestly say I'm not guessing! My mate knows him really well! His wife works with coppingers! He's told me about him bein torn on staying or not! And with reference to saunders comment, I spoke to copps himself at my mates wedding night do, which was the same day as the leeds game! Copps never played that game but went to watch then came night do, said saunders was out his depth! Didn't know what he was doin!

Wherever copps next move is it will be a commute from his current house, not to far, and in 2-3yrs he's gonna move down under!

What a load of rubbish. I spoke with Copps yesterday. Would love to stay but knows he is on alot of money and he wants to be playing at a higher level. Deano has always praised Copps.

At Grimsby Friend was captain. At Bradford Park Avenue Stock started as captain, but gave the armband to someone else (think it was Spurr) when he got subbed off.

Bennett was captain at Cleethorpes I believe. Spurr had the armband at Rotherham.
