If he has only gone on loan until 2 January, why the rush to get it all completed before transfer deadline day? We should have told them to fook off and wait until the loan window opens next week. Cheeky fookers ringing up with their Kuwaiti money at the last minute.

Something to do with only being able to take them on loan for a certain period or something ??

Or could have been to do with saunders thinking he was going to snap someone up but didn't come off

Loans out of the transfer window have a limit of 90 days or so.
