At last he has been found out for what he is. All the clubs he has been associated with have had financial difficulties which appear to be of his making.  He was under scrutiny for what he did at Leeds, but then went to Portsmouth, Plymouth, Cardiff and now Preston.

What is bad about this is the way he has treated supporters of these clubs that he was entrusted to run. They paid week in and week out and bought club gear etc and all ther time he has been syphoning it off for his own benefit.

When will the footballing authorities do more to stamp out this type of  criminal activity?  Football teams are of the public and for the public and people who work for, or own them, should always remember that they are the custodians of the team for that length of time, but that the club should always be considered as part of the local fabric.

Surely, he should now consider his position at Preston and resign? I wonder whether their fans will have a "Ridsdale Out" campaign?

If the FA don't act on this then it just shows how useless they are and that they bring the game into disrepute themselves by letting people like this run football clubs.

Payments totalling £347,000, for services provided by the business to a football club where he was chairman, were paid into his personal bank account between May 2007 and March 2009 instead of to the company's account
He did not disclose the relevant transactions to the liquidator of the company who was subsequently told of them by the football club
He failed to ensure tax payments were made by the company. Unpaid tax at the time of liquidation included £166,421 in corporation tax, £102,279 in income tax and national insurance, and £173,653 in VAT
He failed to make sure the business filed accounts on three successive occasions

Given the money has stolen I can't believe he's not been jailed and is allowed anywhere near a football club

As part of the penalty, he's unable to get involved in any promotion.

No change there then...
