wilts rover a quick responce i believed that M Woods was playing on the wing , we should be playing with wingers having Paynter and Brown up front we are not using there assets . We need a midfielder to carry the ball not pass and think is jobs done

Yes but Bennet and Cotterill are injured, you cant just magic up another winger to the squad when there aren't any? And where did Woods play when Stock and Wellens were in the team?

You are just moaning for the sake of it, yes we all wish Rovers would play like Barcelona, and give Saunders Barecelona's players I am sure he would give it a go. But he hasn't got them, he's got, Sayers, Harper, Woods, Paynter, et al and I think you might agree they are more Barnsley than Barcelona.

We have to face facts, Martin Woods is one of the high earners
( from his contract) that they have wanted to offload.  However, due to injuries and bad form nobody else wants him because of his high wages.  We can't just get rid as that would cost money to settle. He is reputed to earn more than 5K per week if he has 18 months left, a guess,  that would be 390,000 quid. even to the end of this season would mean a pay off of 150,000. We gave some poor players stupid contracts in the past and we are stuck with this one.
