I'm a ST holder and have been since 1983.  I'm not going to the Keepmoat on Saturday .  There are four of us, all STs, all feel the same, all going to watch Armthorpe play at Maltby on Saturday.  That's four of us who've already paid our money but are not wanting to go.

OK ,it's your choice, but do the right thing and don't let the 4 tickets go unused.  :)

DONATE UNUSED TICKETS
Season ticket holders can give young children in the area the opportunity to watch Doncaster Rovers
as they can also donate unused ticket vouchers back to the club.  Unused ticket vouchers will then be
exchanged for match tickets and given to local children in the area unable to usually attend matches.

Fantastic cause that mate. Be interesting to see how many people who are refusing to go will take the plunge and do some actual good. I'd wager not many.

Didn't know about that, thanks for flagging it up. I'll check with the club and see how it works and what notice they need.

Ok, here goes, I expect to be shot down by a fair few of you but please try and think about what I'm saying.

I'm a ST holder and have been since 1983.  I'm not going to the Keepmoat on Saturday because, just lately, I don't enjoy it at all.  There are four of us, all STs, all feel the same, all going to watch Armthorpe play at Maltby on Saturday.  That's four of us who've already paid our money but are not wanting to go.

This isn't a reaction to Tuesday night, this was something we've talked about for a few weeks and which came to a head as we went home after the Brentford match.  We didn't bother going to the Bradford PA match and went to watch Armthorpe Welfare instead - and enjoyed it.

As things stand, there are almost certainly two of us won't be renewing our season tickets (even if we get promoted) unless the match day experience as a whole changes for the better.  I expect I will attend the night matches but on Saturdays it likely to be non-league day every week.

If we lose the next ten matches but the experience improves, I'm confident we will be happy to return.  So for us its not a results thing.

Fire away.

Its what you make it........if it meant that much to you be there Sat when the club needs you most.

If your harbouring images from Belle Vue then maybe the club has grown more than you have????

The experience is what you make it ......not sure what you want...???

What do you want?

He doesn't want to go clearly ......he and his mates expect better performances. Personally I don't blame them , they aren't alone unfortunately.  :(

Results v Performances ?

Personally I preferred the long winless run in our first Championship season to our recent undefeated run.
There were some fantastic performances in defeat, and we really looked forward to the games at the moment it's going out of "duty" rather than in any hope of entertainment.
If we had a poor side I could stand it, but the frustrating thing is the potential of our first 11 is so much more than what is on offer most of the time particularly at home.

The more I think about it, the more safe standing would bring back a certain atmosphere that the keepmoat just can't produce. Being able to stand shoulder to shoulder with your mates, easily being able to turn behind you to talk to people, being able to shuffle along a few places after half time to speak to other mates. All this could be done with safe standing, just like on the terraces at OBV   :scarf:

Well i wont be going to another game for 8 weeks or so as i'm in for surgery next week (can't get on saturday) and to be honest i'm not really that bothered. This season has bored me senseless most of the time with the awful dross i've had to watch, it's like going back in a time warp. I'm not interested in scraping results when our opponents have been by far the better side, i want to see us put in performances and play football and not the crap we put in most performances. I have only been going out of 'duty/loyalty' and I don't think i'm the only one who feels this way.

Why are people going on about effort? This side puts more effort in than any over the last 5-6 years. That's how they grind out results.
The main problem on Tuesday was the lack of depth in our squad, no Bennett, cotterill, and then jones. We don't have the players good enough to replace them, syers and woods both had to be played out of position and both had poor games. The fact we've done so well with this tiny squad should be applauded, it's beyond a joke that after 1 defeat people are going on about not renewing and not going. It's pathetic, and its because we've been spoilt over the last ten years, ten years ago if we'd been 6th in the 3rd tier everybody would've been ecstatic but as it is now people are just moaning for moanings sake, we've had our best start to a season for many many years yet your still unhappy. It's a joke

Sense from Dickos, balance is a key thing to a football side, take the wide men out and we lack that. It's a shame we didn't get a loanee in out wide, but then we probably have the two most influential wingers in the league, any team would miss Bennett and Cotterill.

Having said that no matter how crap we were we still had enough chances to win it really and we missed that knack of being poor generally but grinding out a result.  The two goals we conceeded were very poor also.

Bang on, Dickos. We are suffering from a small squad and a lot of games, we were always going to lose a couple with the games coming thick and fast, injuries are starting to take their toll, and the fact that we've done so well despite that is amazing to me. Cannot fault the effort of this side at all even if they are lacking in the ability we've been spoiled with in recent years.

This season has been great so far, miraculous even - great spirit, never say die, flashes of great football, a few glorious goals, but there's a lot to improve.

The bottom line for this season was results - at the beginning of this season anyone would have jumped at what we've achieved so far. I didn't notice one voice saying that they were concerned about the poor quality of play we'd get this season. Quality v results - its about getting the balance right, rather than whinging, how about a suggestion of what can be improved?

Atmosphere - a safe standing trial is essential. What are the club doing about this?

The only thing that staying away from matches will achieve is less income, therefore a lower playing budget.A lower budget means less decent players and possably worse results and relegation.

At last something sensible.........no arses, no money therefore will eventually = no team. Staying away is running away in my book and Jeez I detest the way we're currently playing at home despite the quality of players we currently have. It's not the answer from true supporters despite how bad it sometimes is.
