Just Back

A hard won point today. Swindon are no mugs but they really need to be more effective up front if they are going to win games. That said, we have played better this season and we will play better again. There really isn't much to say. It was backs to the wall defending and we did well in that department.

Cotts was marked closely and also not his best performance which somewhat choked supply for us. Everyone worked tirelessly, though Benno looked like a player who had been out for a few weeks - no shock when he was subbed.

Humey took a bang on the head and played the second half with a bandage round it, and still ran himself into the ground.

Hubby - good development but the odd occasion when he showed his inexperience.

Gary Woods - the most improved player this season and that was a very very good goalkeeping performance.

Di Canio is more clown than coach. Swindon may do better when they don't have a manager who likes the spotlight so much.

Clingan?

Came on as sub for Bennett just after half-time and was no better (or worse) than Keegan and Harper, midfield gave the ball away far too much all game but defended our box well.

I think , forget the performance it was always going to be a difficult game after two loses under the circumstances where illness and suspensions played there part to effect the results. I would think Saunders will be happy just to keep picking up points . Great result.

I'm surprised how often Di Canio ran on the pitch and the ref not doing anything about it?
