8/13 not as short as 1/6 but...

A bit worrying that non of the other bookies are partaking :-(

Now at 1/2, I would say the next 24-48 hours is critical, but how often do the imminent favorites emerge as the manager?

Anyone remember when they stopped taking bets on SO'D to Pompey?

Odds have changed but very slightly, Saunders is going out at 4/7 (was 1/2) while Sean O'Driscoll is coming in at 7/4 (was 2/1). However Sean O'Driscoll still remains 1/3 for the Barnsley job, which was reported on Saturday that he will be unveiled next week.

1/8 with Skybet. 1/5 with Bet Victor. Second favourite is Sean O'Driscoll with odds of 5's 6's and 7's.

Those odds indicate we are just waiting for the ink to dry.

Or waiting for the Compo to be agreed, lets hope we don`t sell ourselves short

No change to Saunders or SOD odds but Di Matteo has in the last hour come in from 33/1 to 14/1 with Ladbrokes, but no change with anyone else.

I'm not sure what this means. Could be just the bookies playing about hoping to drag in some more money as 1/8 suggests we won't be waiting much longer...

Of course we will. We always do.

£1m would do.

A little bit more if they want Mal Purchase and Brian Carey as well

Probably just means a slight change in people putting money on RDM for some reason. Some ITKer on some forum somewhere telling them to. In terms of official reports from the clubs, Saunders is still the only candidate, which might explain those odds - he might not necessarily be the only candidate, but he's the only one who's been named, so all the money is going on him.

Clutching at straws, I know.

Ladbrokes odds change yet again. Now put Owen Coyle is shortening at 6/1. But with Skybet he is at 14's, 12's with BetVictor and 16's with StanJames.

Maybe these other candidates having their odds shortened out of the blue are something to do with talks hitting a speedbump?

If the talks have broken down, or if they are struggling the odds of 1/8-1/5 should be the first to change, unless there is huge demand of people betting on Saunders. Usually betting is suspended after around 1/4 if there is huge demand though. For example Redknapp to be England manager was suspended after it went to 1/3. The only reason it hasn't been suspended despite having odds of 1/8 has to be down to not many people placing money on it.

They're probably just where people are placing bets. Di Matteo and Coyle are both managers that people could think offhand will be in the frame and they'll stick a few quid on it.
