I think
« on January 06, 2013, 12:55:25 am by bigbadjack »
Saunders is going nowhere he has started something here that not a lot of us believed in but now we are all sucked in, he also states that wherever he is in his career this set of players will be the best he has ever worked with, so why move on now, have faith in our leader!!.... But if he does go f**k him

You know what, on the "best he's ever worked with" line you could just be right.

It will mean nothing if they double his wage.

He left Wrexham top of league lets not pretend he wouldn't do the same here.

Oh I can't see he wouldn't, but I do think that what BBJ said will have some, if only an insignificant, bearing on what he decides.

If it even gets that far.

Have you heard something concrete then BBJ? If so, what and where?

There's no way he'll leave. He appreciates the adulation he gets from our 'supporters' too much. Oh wait...

I've not seen that one pubteam, that's bloody ridiculous.

I hope you're right.

As for Boro, we could do, they're not in great home form lately and a Boro fan I'm mates with admits he thinks they'll lose.

Not sure it'd be right to name names.

All I'll say is...
1) How does being linked with a job at a bigger club - depending on how you read the tweet - either a) make you a bell end, or b) prove that you are already a bell end?
2) Does this person know Saunders personally? Or is he just an impeccable judge of character from watching 10 minute interviews?
3) Why does an obsession with the previous manager drive people to such hostility towards the current manager?

Post of the week. Sums up the Donny fan ethos in 2.5 lines. Genius.

...to the extent that we're berated for singing his name, even while we're winning and second in the league, and when we're losing repeatedly told to "look at you f**king hero now you bas**rds". It's f**king ridiculous.

Agree with the rest of the post too.

Not right to name names... after he/she  libels  Saunders on Twitter by calling him a bell end , don't make me laugh.
Just do the same to them and name and shame on here, the chances are no true Rovers one will have a clue who they are.

I think DS will stay, Wolves sacked their manager as SOD is apparently on the verge of taking over Barnsley(remember when Redknapp was in talks with the overseas team....Hughes was sacked so QPR could get HOUR in before it was too late) this for me is exactly the same scenario, SOD will be the next Wolves manager, and DS will complete the job for Rovers

Think that Dean will stay either by the fact that someone gets the job ahead of him at Wolves but it is the same scenario that we were in with regards SOD.
He has spoken to a club in a better position than DRFC and if he stays and gets us promoted then other teams in better positions will come knocking later.
I fully expect the same scenario when Villa Sack Lambert or when the Wales job is up for grabs.

As has been stated the plan B needs to be ready if and when it happens

It  maybe just too soon for him as well,  he has got his own way here and that counts for a lot, he building from ground up and its paying off . I think he will stay and see what funds are made      available to him in the close season before looking at vacancies. Promotion with us would be better place for him to get the deal he needs either way, i say give him contract extension now and  let him settle back into job long term. Lets face , the Championship is long term building is what he needs and not a quick flirtation with only half as season to prove himself.
