worse than when sharp left?
« on January 06, 2013, 01:04:33 pm by adamtherover »
For me, much worse.... we were in a downwards spiral heading for l1 anyway.... but this.... Deano has got our mojo back...  put a smile on our face... granted sometimes its not pretty... but boy is it effective....  deano.. you will be sorely missed...

PS.. don't completely screw our season over by nicking cotts and jonesy  in the window......  did Jr say promotion was worth 5 mill?, that's the figure I'd want as compo!

Well, one thing is for sure, we'll probably make more money out of any deal that sees Saunders leave. Sharp was arguably the most one-sided contract ever written.

Not for me, Sharp was an irreplaceable talisman. This is nowhere near as bad as that.

Bloody hell lads, get a grip. You are supposed to be Yorkshiremen not some blubbering little bairns. Where's your spunk?

Sharp was a professional doing a professional job for us. He was also deeply committed do doing the very best thing for himself, hence the contract that he signed up to. Put bluntly, he used us to re-ignite his career and made damn sure that he was then able to walk into a much bigger club when the right moment came. I don't blame him for that. But it does rather put this deification of him into a different light.

If Saunders goes, he will be doing exactly the same thing. He will have put himself and his career first and foremost. As you would expect a professional to do.

O'Driscoll did precisely the same thing when he walked out of Bournemouth and Crawley, and would have done the same to us if the conditions at Bramall Lane or Turf Moor had been better.

It's what professionals do. Grow up and accept it. The club will survive and we will move on to the next stage of our adventure.

And for crying out loud, leave the blubbing to the sort of spineless gets who aren't lucky enough to come from a place where men are men.

Who's blubbing bst?, I was referring to the footballing side of things... the state of the team and the prospects going forward when/if ds  leaves.... in relation to the aftermath of when sharpy left....  if you want to turn that into some weird event where we are tearing down our deano  posters off our bedroom walls like some angst ridden teenagers, then feel free..

For the club as a whole, Saunders leaving is a lot worse than sharp going

Adam.

Forgive me. It's just my way of dealing with my personal grief.

And for the record, I happen to have a bit of grit in my eye, THAT's why my eyes are a bit red and watery.
