We on this forum kind finally put an end to the SOD vs Saunders, and now get behind OUR manager Brian Flynn.

This is an appointment that will not only get us promoted but ALSO re-unite all fans in ONE Direction (no pun intended Louis Tomlinson)

Agree it's the most logical Les. Intriguing though that it's only until the end of the season. Lots of easily identifiable possible reasons why but it'd be interesting to see which one(s) swayed the Board. some I'd support. Others could not, IMHO, be sensible at all. Oh well. we shall see what we shall see no doubt.

Bob, I'm sure that if the dynamic duo keep us in the hunt and prove that the combination works over say 10 games then that contract could be easily extended.

I was also wondering how long Rob Jones signed up to as a player.  Could have a bearing on the contract if he only signed a 1 year deal and isnt quite ready to hang up his boots at the end of this season.  He cant go and play for, say, Wednesday in L1 and manage us in the Championship, can he?

Actually it is very simple - as a fellow Welshman you should know that Saunders, Penney and Flynn have all played for or managed Swansea, and O'Driscoll hasn't.

It's like in Doctor Who fandom - some of the old lost stories were eulogised simply because all that was left were the scrappy memories of those who had actually watched them back in the sixties. And over time, your memory is rather selective in what it retains. When some of the lost stories were found, they weren't as epic as people remembered them.

There was a phrase used for this phenomenon that would apply just as well to this situation too, and is what I'd call such a category....'Memory Cheats'
