Mr Croft's AWAY shirt designs 2013/14
« on January 29, 2013, 11:32:17 pm by Mr1Croft »
Right then here we go again:

Appreciate it that some people don't like different color combinations and some do so I have tried to make a few different designs which range greatly from White to Black, Green, Blue and African Violet.

So if you could have a look and select your best 3 I will be grateful. Thanks!

Shirt 1:  A simple but effective African Violet Shirt with a black sash (ignore the stars)

Shirt 2: A diagonally hooped black and African Violet shirt (ignore the stars again)

Shirt 3: An African Violet shirt showing a preview of the red and white hoops

Shirt 4: A Dark green shirt with red collar and a white thin line for effect

Shirt 5: Same as shirt one in the HOME thread but dominant Green hoops

Shirt 6: A black and African Violet hooped shirt

Shirt 7: A White shirt with a African Violet sash and detail on the shoulders and arms

Shirt 8: Same as above but a Black Shirt

Shirt 9: A Blue and White hooped shirt. Simple but stylish.

Shirt 10: A remake of the popular blue shirt we wore between 2003 and 2005

Shirt 11: Based on the Croatia 98 shirt, Black shirt with African Violet checkered sqaures and some African Violet and Green detail on collar and sleeves.

Shirt 12: Something no-one has mentioned: A white and african violet hooped shirt.

Shirt 13: Are we Celtic? Or are we Rovers?

Shirt 14: A unique design of Black shirt with African Violet swooshes and a African Violet sleeve.

Shirt 15: A Black Shirt with a simple White collar and Red sleeves and a Red and White sash.

Shirt 16: Same as 11 but with a White shirt.

Shirt 17: A green and White shirt separated diagonally.

Shirt 18: Based on the 80/81 away shirt, green shirt with white sleeves and green lines running down, with red detail to bring it into the future...

What is his fascination with African violet? Mr croft while I appreciate your efforts and clearly you've spent a lot if time working on this I'm sorry to say but African violet has nothing to do with rovers or our clubs history meaning I have no affinity with it at all.

There is no way on earth I would buy anything with that colour on a rovers top

He other shirts are not bad but I don't think you have anything on here that betters skellows modern take on the blue with yellow cross (which in itself needs a little tweaking)

FA Cup...1970's...Anfield...2-2 draw...Arguably one the most famous games in the club's history

Only things is, did we wear it at Anfield or in the replay...my memory is letting me down

The town colours of Doncaster are also a shade of african violet/purple too, so in terms of both Rovers and the town, there are links to that colour.

Just goes to prove how varied our individual tastes are. Now I hate green with a passion (even though I live in Lincolnshire) and would gladly consign the colour to Room 101 given the chance

Doncaster buses in the 1970's were all red with a purple stripe.  I know that because I couldn't build one out of lego as there were no purple bricks.

Does anyone have any colour pics of the original 70's kit?

18 for me, with green shorts...

I had a couple of buses; both that colour and the coffee/cream one's too; from the Corgi collection!
Seem to remember they carried an Impel advert?
