A great success story from Saturday...

      On Saturday a group of parent's and children attended there first ever Rovers match courtesy of the free tickets issued to my kids School from the Rovers...Now we all know that whenever we get a big crowd or promotional day we dont normally turn up on the pitch and the impact and opportunity are lost....
      However i am delighted to say the plan was a fantastic success with everybody who went really enjoying themselves and the kids loved it..Even to the extent that one dad i've talked too who had never been to a football match before in is life is planning to go down the ticket office and get a multi-game ticket for him and his lad....
     It wasn't just the football everyone was impressed with,they commented on just what a great experience they had and how friendly and proffesional it was...from the Stewards and staff..to us the fans...
    We all like to have a moan when things go wrong (and i'm as big a culprit as anyone) but sometimes it's good to see a perspective from people who dont have the emotional attachment we do...
    So a massive well done to everybody for a great success and just shows what impact IRWT is having,these things are so important after all kids are the next generation of fans and this is exactley the thing everyone is working hard to achieve..

That's a great story. If we could attract that many new fans each week we'd need a new stadium in a year or so!!

Brilliant story.

Its good to see that the work by Rovers along side everyone involved in the IRWT project is becoming a success.  By doing things like this even if only a few more bums go on seats on a regular occasion its a start.
