Flynn v Saunders Record
« on April 25, 2013, 10:53:53 am by Maps »
Have been looking at Saunder's record versus Flynn's and it makes interesting (ish) reading. Flynn has won 31 points from his 19 games in charge. This works out at 1.63 points a game. In the current league; had Flynn been in charge since the beginning of the season (and had form remained constant) Rovers would have finished the season on 75 points - safely in the play offs.

This, of course, would have been viewed as a major success by both the board and supporters had Saunders not set the bar so high. If Saunders had remained in charge (and again assuming form remained constant) his 2.08 points a game would have seen us finish the season on 96 points - top of the league by some way.

However - and this is a fact that must give us some confidence for the weekend -  under Flynn, we've yet to be beaten by any of our major competitors. We've played 4 of the top 7 teams in the league; Bournemouth, Swindon and Leyton Orient have all been dispatched and we even managed a point against Yeovil. Should this record continue on Saturday, we'll be playing Championship football again next season.
