As we know Rovers have made enquiries with the football league about always being drawn away so you can bank on the first game being at home.

Secondly, the fixture computer always pits a promoted team against a relegated team (Derby you will remember) so it will either be Reading, QPR or Wigan.

QPR will be my choice as they will be in disarray and we will beat them.

So there it is. QPR at home, 2-0 to Rovers.

Its my belief that we always play away first game so that we are away when the Leger is run.

Not all promoted sides get relegated opposition. My guess is that
QPR v Brentford is the one this August.

With the season starting a week early this season the leger may not effect a home game first.

Reading away. At least it will get that particular horror out of the way.

Doesn't have to work like that though.  I always remembered in the 80's we would have our home game on Leger weekend on a Friday evening.  I recall the 6-1 win over Exeter specifically in our extraordinary results sequence in 1982 was a Friday evening match?
