So what's the situation with Curtis Main...
 
Is he under contract to us still, and if so until when?
Is the intention to let him go for a free to clear the decks?
or
Is it that we are we awaiting offers for his services?

Whatever happens, he can't come back to us, i suspect the club will try to get a small fee for him, probably from oldham.

   Oldham wont pay a fee for anybody they don't have the money..There release list apparently contains players who they want to keep but on reduced terms but have been turned down...
   If Main leaves this summer it will be on a free transfer...nobodys going to pay for him..

I suspect he will go to Oldham, but not until August.
Oldham know we want rid of him so they'll let us pay his wages for the next three months then take him ready for pre season. And I doubt they'll pay anything for him for the same reason, ie they know we want shut

The new season starts on 6 August, so pre-season will be much earlier in July.  If Main goes to Oldham I reckon it will be at the start of July, fee or no fee.

However he could even go earlier if Oldham want to secure his services.  Despite the feelings of many of our fans, he may be in demand with other clubs, especially after his form at Oldham.  He may get a better deal elsewhere!

Can't see him being match fit if he is training on his own, DF won't let him anywhere near the pre season training after C M crossed him
