For me anyway. If we signed Appleton, he wud have managed 4 championship teams in just over ONE SEASON. Is that the kind of stability we want? Dickov has only been with Oldham granted, but he didn't do bad their on no money. He was a shit as a player but hope he's turned that into passion as a manager

Seriously, I can see Dickov becoming a Bremner type figure. I think he has more chance of endearing himself to the fans than Appletonio.
