Forget any more signings our biggest problem is a board which is split. The leadership starts in the board room so get yourselves sorted because we all have to pull in the same(one) direction

I've seen nothing to suggest that other than hearsay and hearsay based on hearsay
I think it is a reasonable assumption to make when you have two factions in a board room wanting different things is a split otherwise there would speak of one voice would they not?

I repeat myself, there could just be a difference of opinion, that pragmatic as they clearly are, the board will resolve over time.  "Factions" and "split" imply a more permanent division.

Anyway, let's get back to celebrating RW's return.

Will he start or be on the bench if not 100% match fit?

Factions? turn it in!

Two different ideas, brought, dicsussed and working through.

It may well be a "reasonable assumption" - it might also be bullshit. Either way, why drop your thoughts on this matter in a thread about a signing?

In effect, you tried to drag a positive thread into a negative thread. I can't understand why.

Alick may have a point. Just decided to add it in completely the wrong thread.

I totally have no problem with negativity. I have been pretty negative in the past myself, and I am not going to pretend otherwise.

It's just that it gets tiresome when people decide to drag threads down for no apparent reason. It's just unnecessary. If people want to discuss a perceived split on the Board, why not open up a thread and discuss it?

Wherever it's posted it's still second/third/fourth generation hearsay developed from gossip.

Fantastic news, without jinxing us, I'm feeling very confident about tomorrow  :)

Maybe a LB before the end of the day?

Rovers players always seem to play well for us against their former clubs.

Also, former Rovers players seem to not play so well against us

Great signing. Signed on a short term deal and I would think a longer deal once clarity is reached with regards investment. Easily one of my favourite players :)

I remember in his first few games for us, he'd always try to win the ball from the opponent's kick-off with a tackle within half a second, often two footed.

I think SO'D must have had a word as it quickly died off.

Start with wellens and replace with Keegan after 60 minutes
By which time we will be 3 up
Easy

Try looking at my comment sensibly.

Perhaps I meant it to be taken that it is just as important that we are all pulling in the same direction (perhaps One Direction) than acquiring more players.

It was encouragement to kiss and make up not to divide and conquer.

Some happy clappers are just not happy unless the can jump up and down shouting

"NEGATIVITY"

Its all in the life of a healthy active forum.

Ah ha, no.

As I said, I'm not happy with talk of splits when it isn't the proven case.

Neath I am really happy you said that. There is no doubt the truth will filter out in the end so if it turns out there has been a split I will expect a pm with an apology and the reverse of that from me.

It can be like arguing that the Queen is dead.  At some point she will be, but at the moment she isn't (as far as I know).

We were told there was a unanimous decision made regarding the first offer.  We have not been told that there is a split and as far as I'm concerned any rumours to the contrary as just that and furthermore unhelpful.

As far as apologises go, if I feel I need to apologies I would do so in the same public forum as I make a statement that caused offense, PMing an apology after public offense would be cowardly.  However, as there has been no factual evidence of any "split" or "faction" I stand by all that I have said and see no need for apology.

I agree about negativity on a forum. Totally. I have - on occasion - thrown my toys out of the pram like a three-year-old on here. It happens.

What bugs me is when people roll onto a topic that is entirely positive and try to steamroll it with negativity that's not even related to what's being talked about. It's a bit like turning up to someone's birthday party and taking a shit on their cake.

As I said, why not start a topic about this perceived/imagined split? It would be interesting to to hear people's thoughts, tbh.

If there is a 'split' why did they all turn up to the owners meeting? Or has the 'split' happened since Wednesday evening?

If there is a difference of opinion - well that's life and shows they are all contributing - its up to them to move forwards in (one) direction.

Its not like it is the first time they have had a serious difference of opinion on club matters is it Alick?

Ah yes but, I split up with my wife over a difference of opinion. Sure, there was a difference of opinion over the split but, you know what, that saturday I went to watch the Rovers & we won 4-0.

The moral of the story being, if it's a split or a difference, why not just split the difference? Simples.

Now get a grip of yourselves, leave your squabbling in the playground & concentrate on what really matters....Global warming.

Its all semantics really. Why is the word split so emotionally provocative? Do you really need to be that defensive?

If you read back I make reference to "Kiss and make up" The moment the board move in the One Direction the happier I will be. Surely the only inference is togetherness not a subversiveness split.

I was making the point of how important it is to have the board pulling in the same direction much more important than signing one or two extra players for me.

Some people are not happy till they can perceive a glitch of possible negativity, chill out.

I am predicting a win 2-1 against Blackpool I hope the fact that I fear Blackpool will score is not thought of as being negative.

"Split" implies they have fallen out, a disagreement does not.  Yes it is semantics but the stronger the language used on here the more vociferous the reactions..

Hope Wellens plays today!
