I have to say that in my part of the midlands we're quite well served for chippies. My regular haunt, the Dovehouse Fish Bar, does a super cod and chips. There's another one across the road from the Greville pub that does a very acceptable cod or haddock with very large portions of chips.

Best fish and chips I had when going to a match were from a splendid chippy just down the road from Darlington's old Feethams ground. I wonder if the chippy survived Darlington's move, because it certainly did brisk business on a matchday!
