I've had a dream
« on December 08, 2013, 01:29:45 pm by Bentley Bullet »
Dead vivid it was. I was sat in the west stand reading the match programme when I came across an article about Leeds United being under investigation by the Inland Revenue for tax evasion. Apparently they’ve been claiming for silver polish for the past 20 years.

Next thing two blokes who I’d never seen before sat next to me and my suspicions were confirmed when I saw a L**ds United tattoo on the arm of the one next to me.  He reached into his pocket and produced two Santa hats, giving one to his mate. He turned to me and said “two hats”!  I said “Yes, I gathered that”!  “They’re Christmas hats, got bells on the end, just pinched them from the Outlet, hope they don’t bother you” he said.   “No, a couple of bell ends don’t bother me”, I replied.

I asked them what they thought of manager Brian McDermott.  The other bloke, a big, fat, bald, scruffy, thuggish looking guy, said that he’d look better with a wig on, but he’d only end up taking the mess out of him, and the last time he ridiculed someone wearing a wig the bloke sentenced him to three years.

Then the big, fat, bald, scruffy, thuggish looking guy jumped out of his seat because he’d seen a spider on the seat in front of him.  I said “don’t move, it’s a False Widow spider, I had one in my bath at home a while ago” (lyingly!).  He said “What’s one of them?”  I said “It’s a big white thing you get washed in!” He stared threateningly at first, but then started grinning. Obviously the comment had gone like his Christmas hat - over his head!

The game started and soon L**ds took the lead through McCORMACK. This had its benefits because the police and stewards heard the bell ends as the two hats bounced up and down, and they were ejected!

More misery was to bestow Rovers as McCORMACK scored a second in the 23rd minute.

H.T.  Rovers 0   L**ds  2

Second half started magically as Rovers pulled one back through CHRIS BROWN (55 mins).  Rovers went all out for an equaliser, resulting in a few scary moments as they left Ross Turnbull exposed.

After 88 mins you could hear a pin drop as the ref shocked everyone in the ground by making a decision rarely seen these days, and resisting intimidation he awarded Rovers a penalty! This was so rare for Rovers in the Championship that no one around us knew who actually would take it!  We soon found out as CHRIS BROWN made it 2-2.

That’ll do I though, and looking at the faces around me, they shared my contentment.

Rovers though, had different ideas, and pursued a winner!  Wellens had a shot brilliantly saved. Brown then hit the bar, and MACHEDA smashed home the re-bound (90 mins).

All we need to do now is play out the added on time...........SIX MINUTES!  SIX BLOODY MINUTES!!

We did it though........................................WE DID IT!!!
Full time;

 Rovers 3   L**ds  2

I can remember CB taking a pen in the COcup a couple of seasons back at the KM but since then when was the last pen given and scored at the KM?

Two penalties have been scored at the KMS this season- both by visiting players. McCormack of Leeds in the CoCup and Vokes of Burnley in the League.

Our last penalty scored at the KMS was on New Year's Day when Billy Paynter scored against the Blunts.
