Brilliant performance
« on January 01, 2014, 05:50:07 pm by Scooter »
What a brilliant performance today. Every player gave 100%, it was a massive improvement on recent games.
We should have had a definite penalty when wellens was fouled in the box then thy went a got a soft equaliser due to the slippery pitch.
Jammy gets at the end and our players were gutted!

Can't decide on my MOM but Quinn led the defence well and a huge improvement from Wakefield and macheda
Unfortunately we have another injury with theo going off

As positive a performance as this was, unfortunately, we came away with nothing and are now in the bottom three. Late-Goalitis has recurred again.

Just getting on the train back.  Couldn't be prouder of the lads who played with real quality and guts throughout.  Great singing from the fans as well

Just got back in from Loftus Road. Thats the best we've been for 3 months. Bags of energy, great movement off the ball – giving the midfield options to pass into, running at defenders and a proper ballsy away performance. We knew they couldnt be as bad as in the first half (there was some half time boos for QPR) and they'd come at us in numbers but we held up well for much of the second half and had several bits of good attacking play.
I didnt see whether the bench had instructed us to go up for the free kick in front of the flag at the death but I would have gone for safety rather than a cross. If we held the ball up in that corner with a short kick and a few short passes it wouldn't have gone straight up the other end for the goal.
There's being positive, and there's being sensible. I would have gone for the latter and the point. 4 points from QPR this season would have been tremendous.

Watched it on QPR Player.  First half we were tremendous and made them look second-best.  Could have had more than one goal, definitely should have had a penalty - even the QPR commentators were surprised it wasn't given.  Harry's substitutions made the difference and put us under pressure second half, but their first goal was lucky and we very nearly got the point our display deserved.

Yes,a great and unexpected performance(going on our recent form and bare squad numbers).Well done and a big shame we did not get any points from it.Only thing is,I have to ask the same question I did after beating QPR at home(last time we played that good to me) Why do we not play like that most of the time?Don't think it is just coincidence we played so good against them both times?is it the style of their play?Which sadly means we will still struggle against most other team.Hope Im wrong.
